Himika Foods: A Father, A Daughter, A Shared Dream

At Himika Foods, we're more than just a brand – we're the culmination of a journey deeply rooted in our heritage and driven by a passion for purity and health. Hailing from the picturesque village of Serua in Jharkhand, mustard oil isn't just a cooking staple; it's a way of life. From savory mutton dishes to hearty daal bhaat chokha, every meal is infused with the rich, pungent aroma of kachchi ghani mustard oil. Mustard oil, in addition to being a staple cooking oil, holds a special place in our households, serving as a versatile massaging oil for hair and body, as well as an ointment for coughs, colds, and body pain, catering to infants, adults, elders, and postpartum women alike.

As a father-daughter duo, our journey toward health consciousness led us to reevaluate the oils we used. Disheartened by the prevalence of refined and adulterated options, we embarked on a quest to rediscover the true essence of mustard oil. Drawing from generations of knowledge and a keen eye for quality, we set out to create something pure and sustainable. Our journey to Himika Foods began with the wisdom of our great-grandmother, who pressed oil herself, with our homegrown organic high-quality mustard seeds, using a wooden kolhu, with my father and other children serving as weights. When my daughter Himika was born, I struggled to find reliable cold-pressed mustard oils for massaging her, which further fueled my determination to launch this brand.

Inspired by the pristine purity of the Himalayas and the wisdom of generations past, we craft each bottle of cold-pressed yellow mustard oil with care and integrity. Named after our youngest daughter in the family, Himika Foods represents the purity and sustainability we strive for in every drop. We founded Himika with a singular mission: to replace the adulterated oils sitting in every Indian kitchen with our finest, cold-pressed creations.

Our goal isn't just to sell oil; it's to fuel a healthier India, one bottle at a time. Join us on this journey as we rewrite the narrative of Indian cooking, rooted in tradition and crafted with care.

Meet Our Founders: The Father-Daughter Duo

A Father-Daughter Dream, Bottled with Love

At the heart of Himika Foods is a story of two generations united by one belief — that purity and tradition deserve a place in every Indian kitchen.

Our co-founders, Mr. Jaideo Prasad Singh and Ms. Nidhi Niharika, bring together decades of wisdom and fresh vision. A retired officer with deep-rooted values, he carries the essence of our soil and traditions. His daughter, a passionate mompreneur, dreamt of creating a brand inspired by her daughter’s name — Himika. Together, they’ve built more than a business — they’ve built a purpose.

From long conversations in the kitchen to dusty days at the factory, from sourcing the finest mustard seeds to reviving age-old wood pressing methods, their journey is a blend of integrity, intention, and love for wholesome living.

At Himika Foods, you're not just buying oil — you're becoming part of a story. A story that started at home, with a simple promise: "Only serve what we’d give our own family.
